The Police

Victims or witnesses of hate crime can report directly to the police.

If it’s an emergency call 999 or 101 for any non-emergency.

A third party report is a report of an incident made on behalf of a victim or witness. We can report the incident to the police on your behalf, and continue to liaise with the police if necessary. You can submit an online reporting form to us below or give us the incident details over phone or email. You can remain anonymous if you do not want to disclose your details to us.

Under data protection requirements Victim Support is required to inform you how we will process any information that we hold in relation to you.

Victim Support processes information about you on the basis of performing a public task in providing services to victims and witnesses of crime. The information can be about you along with details of the crime and of any support we provide to you. Victim Support uses your information to help progress any support we have agreed with you. Your information will normally only be shared when Victim Support has permission to do so and where this is relevant to any support we have agreed with you, unless we believe that either you or someone else is at risk of significant harm. The information will be retained for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the information is processed. You have a right to object to the processing of information about you.
